We bought our sleeper train tickets from Urumqi to Kashgar and our return train tickets from Urumqi to Turpan on the TravelChinaGuide website. We wanted to buy the Urumqi-Turpan-Urumqi tickets one day ahead, and as it is the peak season, it was difficult to find free seats. However, the TravelChinaGuide staff helped us to secure tickets for this trip.

I purchased the business class speed train tickets through the website, the tickets were issued 10 days before the trip, excess was refunded back to my account. There were only 5 seats in the business cabin, comfortable and mostly quiet throughout the approx. 3 hours ride.

We booked tickets way in advance and paid in full and as promised closer to dates, we received our e-ticket numbers. No printouts necessary. Just scanned our passports at the ticket gate and we were through. Just needed to ensure all details were correct. We did make a mistake during one of our segments tho. A quick email and we got the details amended. All in all, we were happy with the train ticketing service and super glad that there was a reliable agent that could help us with our connecting journeys.

Seamless service. We opted for a business class seats on a fast train from Beijing to Xi’an, no flying. The booking, payment and issuing of tickets was smooth and professional. Everything was clearly explained and delivery of tickets was timely. Very glad we chose train not plane. We experienced Shinkansen in Japan but this train ride takes it to another level. A side note, taxi queue in Xi’an was enormous. Moves quickly though but be prepared to wait.

Booked my train tickets with travel china guide, 2 different dates and locations and I was pretty worried about it as I’ve never been, found travel china guides website and from start to finish made the experience easy, as the tickets can’t be ticketed till 2 weeks before, I booked it with them 2 months prior and as soon as the two weeks came I received confirmation the tickets had been issued. Even when I was there I was unsure of the station and got in touch and they gave me the information and the address of the station, would 100 percent use again and urge people to use them! Thankyou

Rail bookings can be made well in advance, but ticketing only happens 15 days prior to travel, the staff from TCG are in the system immediately that ticketing is available, meaning if you've booked Business Class (better than 1st Class), you almost always get what you requested . We went to terracotta museum located at Xian City. So we booked sleeper train from Beijing and China through Travel Guide China. On-line booking of a train trip (via China's fantastic high speed train network) via Travel China Guide from Shanghai honqiao railway station to Funing (north east of Shanghai - Funingdong station (Funing East station)) was fast, very easy and cost effective. Website is extremely clear. No paper tickets are issued, your passport serves as the ticket and this appeared to work well in China. Railway officials are very helpful and boarding trains is very efficient and fast!
